The Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission is partnering with all seven cities the Greenway passes through to plan for the corridor’s future. The effort will culminate in the Razorback Greenway Corridor Plan. This plan is an opportunity for the region to work together identify areas for additional housing options, to ensure the trail a safe and enjoyable facility as the region continues to grow, and to better connect people with destinations. Currently we’re in phase 1 of the project which looks at the corridor through a high-level, regional lens. Next year in phase 2, each city will have an opportunity for to complete a “sub-area” plan. These sub-area plans are deep dives into specific areas that are ripe for achieving the afore mentioned goals of protecting the facility and natural areas, identifying areas for additional housing options, and increasing connectivity. They're excited about the ongoing work and will have more to share as phase 1 wraps up at the end of this year.
